During Civic Season and beyond, the American Music Landmarks Project (AMLP) seeks to help young music fans everywhere find unique opportunities to explore and be inspired by places that defined their favorite artists and genres as well as those they have yet to discover. Our new millennial-founded organization is excited to assist young Americans in adding their voices as present and future stewards of our music history’s architectural legacy through connecting them with virtual and on-site tours, special events and volunteer experiences to meaningfully participate in the ongoing preservation, maintenance and interpretation of music landmarks. The AMLP understands that the presence of youth in transforming our music landmarks from built history to built heritage is essential to further democratizing and diversifying public awareness, appreciation and support for the places that tell the story of our collective musical past. Reach out at info@musiclandmarks.org and let us help you identify an opportunity with a music landmark this Civic Season!
