Join us for the first installation of our new exhibit at the Casemate Museum — Beyond the Battlefield: Redefining Trauma.

Visit our museum and take a historical deep-dive into topics of mental health struggles in the military from the perspective of lived experiences at Fort Monroe found within our archival collection, beginning in May for #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth! Explore the lives of four individuals’ stories from 19th century Fort Monroe and how they coped with the trauma they suffered.

Visit us on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 1-2 p.m. Karie Murrillo from Fleet & Family will talk about Mind, Body, Mental Fitness. This program will be at the Visitor & Education Center at Fort Monroe, 30 Ingalls Rd.
