Better Arguments Project

Add to my List

Join the Better Arguments Project for a conversation with Bo Seo, author of the upcoming book “Good Arguments: How Debate Teaches Us to Listen and Be Heard.” In this conversation, Seo will share his experience as an immigrant and how debate helped him thrive in an unfamiliar culture and reveal the timeless secrets of effective communication and persuasion that make for a fulfilling life, successful career, and effective global citizenship.

Bo Seo is a two-time world champion debater and former coach of the Australian national debating team and the Harvard College Debating Union. One of the most recognized figures in the global debate community, he has won both the World Schools Debating Championship and the World University Debating Championship. Seo has written for The New York Times, The Atlantic, CNN, and many other outlets. Seo graduated from Harvard University and received a master’s degree in public policy from Tsinghua University. He is currently a Juris Doctor candidate at Harvard Law School.

The Better Arguments Project is a partnership between the Aspen Institute Citizenship and American Identity Program, Facing History and Ourselves, and Allstate.
