Join Sema Hadithi, Better Days, and Wasatch Community Gardens for a mural unveiling at Richmond Park! The mural, by Brooke Smart with a community-driven design process, depicts 4 Black women who lived and worked the neighborhood at different points in Utah history. The finished creation will be unveiled at 6 pm on June 27 as the last event of the official Juneteenth Utah celebrations. After the unveiling ceremony, storytellers and displays will share the legacies of these influential women who have shaped the place we call home.

Bring your blanket and lawn chairs and join us for an evening of food, friends and fun!

We thank the Utah Division of State History, the Utah Division of Arts & Museums, and the Salt Lake City Arts Council for their financial support of this project.
