Created in the spirit of Jeffersonian dinners known for stunning food and sparkling conversations, Feast of Reason is a new card game that promotes civic conversation with friends and family over takeout, cocktails, or a homecooked meal. From the beginning, the United States has been a work in progress, shaped by the many people who pitch in to help us live up to the ideals of the Declaration of Independence. Your conversations are part of that story!

We’re kicking off the Civic Season with a Feast of Reason celebration at the Monticello’s David M. Rubenstein Visitor Center. Experience the best of Charlottesville’s vibrant culinary scene with a variety of gourmet food trucks. Sample and learn the history behind Monticello’s new flagship Mountain Ale, crafted by Blue Mountain Brewery. Enjoy delicious American Heritage Chocolate samples and visit the renowned Shop at Monticello to explore a curated selection of garden gifts, books and more.
