It’s Morven’s 20th anniversary! Join the commemoration this Independence Day as we reflect on history, civic engagement, and community at the museum’s annual Fourth of July festival.

In 1783, Morven hosted Congressional delegates marking Independence Day. Over 240 years later, the museum continues this tradition, utilizing our role as the home of a signer of the Declaration of Independence (and as New Jersey’s first Governor’s mansion) to engage in what it means to be an active citizen and explore America’s ongoing journey to form “a more perfect union.”

The 2024 festival will feature: community partners hosting family-friendly activities and crafts inspired by themes of history, civics, and service; tours of Morven’s gardens; live music from the Vintage Vibe Tribe; food from Oink & Moo BBQ, The Empanada Guy, and Kona Ice; face painting with Maya B. the Face Paint Fairy; an opportunity to sign the Declaration of Independence; and much more.

Don’t miss this annual tradition, always free and all are welcome!
