Join members of the Virginia Museum of History & Culture (VMHC) education team for thirty-minute highlight tours as they offer you an introduction to our newest exhibition, “Give Me Liberty: Virginia & The Forging of a Nation.”

Commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, “Give Me Liberty” highlights Virginia’s leading role in the American Revolution. It explores the continental and global forces as well as the actions of both iconic and ordinary people that brought about a model of democratic government that changed the world.

These tours occur every Saturday in June, July, and August 2025 from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.

Registration is required due to tour popularity. While the tour is free, daily admission is required. See ticketing page for more details.

“Give Me Liberty: Virginia & The Forging of a Nation” was produced in partnership by the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation and the Virginia Museum of History & Culture. It is presented by Virginia’s 250th Commission.
