Glorious Fourth at Conner Prairie will look at how Hoosiers in the 1830s celebrated the Fourth of July. Military veterans will be honored by a presentation by the White River Guard Militia, as well as a dedication of a new flag with a 26th star to celebrate the addition of Arkansas to the Union, and a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Glorious Fourth will also explore how other groups of people such as African Americans and Native Americans viewed July 4th through history, and how Independence Day is not a day of Independence for all Americans.
