Our goal is to equip all people with resources necessary to participate in the redistricting process through knowledge of geography, civics, geospatial technology, and principles of governing. GeoCivics is a project of the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs that aims to spread awareness about the redistricting process across the nation. Using both educational and publicly-available resources, we combine geography and civics to provide a suite of state-based materials that equip educators and community members with the tools necessary to be active participants in the redistricting process and to assess the results of redistricting over multiple election cycles. Visit the website and find resources for your state.
