Travel back in time to the 19th century during our Underground Railroad historic home tours, with a special weekend focus on Juneteenth. In 2002, Spring Hill was listed on the National Park Service’s Network to Freedom trail for the Rotch’s involvement in Underground Railroad activity in 1820 & 1821 (documented). Spring Hill farm in Kendal (later Massillon) Ohio served as a safe haven on the Underground Railroad as early as 1817 up until the Civil War.
