Join the June conversation, “Gender Identity Respect, Dignity, and Safety in NY Prisons” on June 17. We will be looking at Senate Bill S6677A, which ensures gender identity respect, dignity, and safety in prisons. This panel discussion will feature the bill’s sponsor, Senator Julia Salazar, and a representative from the NYCLU who helped craft this bill as well as individuals who have directly experienced the lack of respect and danger of the system as it currently functions.
