Salute the 248th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown with a patriotic lineup of artillery demonstrations and interpretive programs that explore the challenges that faced our nation’s founders, including those who signed the Declaration of Independence and those for whom the new nation’s rights of freedom and liberty did not yet apply.
As we wrap up this year’s Civic Season, we invite you to participate in a number of activities exploring the founding documents, the meaning of individual liberty, and how we create and support our diverse communities. From 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m., you can participate in art maker sessions, sharing your perspective on the theme of liberty and discuss the complexities of the nation’s founding documents.
Liberty Celebration programming is included with your museum admission.
