Join us for an all-ages celebration commemorating the end of slavery and the ongoing project of liberation. Artist Zsudayka Nzinga will lead tours of her installation “Afro-Diaspora,” featured in our exhibition This is My Home. The installation brings together a wide range of symbols and icons of Black history and culture. Kids and the young-at-heart are invited to a special comic book workshop celebrating real-life Black superheroes. Visit our Resource Center to learn about Black-owned businesses and Black-led organizations serving communities and creating cultural experiences throughout the city. Philadelphia’s own drumline Positive Movement will treat us to a special musical celebration to kick things off! Free with Museum Admission.
