The Historical Society of Pennsylvania joins Philadelphia’s Historic District for the first annual Red, White, & Blue To-Do, a day of “pomp and parade,” as John Adams declared in 1776. Celebrate independence where it began!

HSP will host a drop-in, political cartoon-making activity. In this election year, you can learn to express your own view with creative help from the past! Art materials and step-by-step instructions, as well as a selection of cartoon fragments from across time and across the political spectrum will be available for you to assemble. Make your voice (pencil) heard!

Special appearance by Pulitzer-Prize-winning editorial cartoonist Signe Wilkinson at 2 PM! Ms. Wilkinson will demonstrate her content creation and composition process.
